2014 Keynote Speakers Announced

Wed, 04/30/2014 - 1:40pm -- brent.thomas

We are pleased to announce our two keynote speakers for the 2014 NWGIS Conference: Dr. Dominique Bachelet and David DiBiase.

Dr. Dominique Blachelet is Senior Climate Change Scientist at the Conservation Biology Institute and Associate Professor in the Dept. of Biological and Ecological Engineering at Oregon State University. Dominique initiated the creation of climatewizard.org at the Nature Conservancy with Chris Zganjar and she is now bringing climate and climate impacts simulation results to databasin.org to ensure that climate change awareness are integral to conservation planning.

David DiBiase leads the Education Team within Esri’s Industry Solutions group which promotes and supports GIS use to enrich teaching and learning at all levels, settings and locales. David is most proud of his leadership to build an open educational resources initiative at Penn State University.  The majority of the courses are freely available online.
