How the University of Washington is Making GIS Data a Navigable Experience

Tue, 08/26/2014 - 1:15pm -- Anonymous (not verified)

In an effort to provide a user-friendly way for University of Washington students and visitors to navigate campus, our GIS team went with GeoMetri Navigator, an off-the shelf front end app that makes it easy for non-GIS users to interface with our GIS data. As one of the first universities in the United States taking on this challenge, we hope to set a standard that will be used by universities across the country. We will present how we took our current data and plugged it into the GeoMetri Navigator as well as how we plan to develop new features like predefined routes, notifications, and alerts.
