Tue, 06/24/2014 - 9:13pm -- Anonymous (not verified)

Open Data has become a topic of great interest to many local, state/provincial, and federal governments across the US and Canada as well as many other countries. This presentation will describe what open data is and how it is used to share data across jurisdictions (and borders). It will also present a series of lessons learned from the City of Vancouver (BC) experience implementing their Open Data portal. These lessons and issues to think about will benefit anyone or any jurisdictions involved in, or contemplating implementing, an Open Data site.
