Description
Quantum Spatial, d/b/a NV5 Geospatial is seeking a GIS Developer to work directly with its federal government client. The successful candidate will develop native Mobile GIS applications and maintain existing Mobile GIS application for mission critical data collection and navigation. The federal client uses Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) based Server, Desktop and Mobile applications and SDK’s.

Responsibilities
. Complete software development for current and future releases of Android mobile GIS application (potentially iOS), including new features and bug fixes based on client direction.
. Develop plan and complete testing to verify full system functionality and software/install update procedure and deploy software on a predetermined release cycle.
. Conduct Software Research and Development for mobile applications to develop, recommend or improve systems.
. Integrate developed assets with other client data portals as well as other platforms.
. Complete all client required training and follow policies for network access.
. Communicate with client interdisciplinary teams. (e.g., IT Security, IT System Engineers, Data Standards, etc.)
. Fully document all work needed or completed.
. Participate in the monthly/weekly client conference calls and in-person meetings.
. Be able to travel in support of mobile GIS program.
Qualifications
. GIS working experience
. Demonstrated professional experience of greater than 5 or more years in designing and developing mobile application in android.
. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with other people in a team environment.
. Has released production software using ESRI’s Runtime SDK
. Working experience with Java programming for mobile devices
. Working experience with Android Studio
. Working experience with XML
. Working knowledge of well-known version control systems (such as git and Azure DevOps).
. Working experience with GPS, Compass, Accelerometer, Camera, and other sensors on mobile devices.
. Understanding and experience with AGILE development as a part of team environment.
